My Aim...
Hi, my name is Jahed Ali and I'm a registered Sport and Exercise Nutritionist (SENr). My aim is to use the power of nutrition and science synergistically to help individuals reach their personal goals - whether you're a professional or recreational athlete, a regular gym-goer or just someone who is looking to create a healthier lifestyle. Additionally, I aim to educate and develop others' understanding on the importance of nutrition from a sport, exercise and health perspective - whilst aiming to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
My Experiences...
For the past several years, I have involved myself in a combination of theory and practical-based learning through studying a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science (2013-2016) and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition (2016-17). This has allowed me to apply the theory of Sport Science into practice across an array of Sport Science disciplines, with a strong focus on Sport and Exercise Nutrition in recent years. I am currently lecturing at Burnley College, overseeing Further Education and Higher Education Sport Science (and Nutrition) related courses/modules.
Why Jahed Ali Performance Nutrition?
My objective is to see you as an individual, and not to like everybody else. What your goals and needs are, will almost be completely different to someone else, and thus your nutritional intervention, nutritional recommendations and your action plan must be tailored to you. I will also explain why I have chosen a certain strategy, recommendation or even a type of food, to help better your knowledge and understanding of nutrition - which I hope leaves you in a position to be more motivated and confident to take control and make more informed choices of your own diet.
